December 2018 Newsletter
Happy New Year from the Chamber of Commerce & Ag!
In reflection upon the passing Christmas season, we wish to say thank you to everyone who attended, participated in and helped organize the Christmas Stroll. Festive spirit was certainly displayed by our Christmas lighting decoration contest winners - Congratulations to Rich and Melinda Biesheuvel for the incredible residential display and to Powder River Petals in the business category for their delightful Snoopy theme, with honorable mention to Gardner & Billing CPAs for indoor decorations and costumes.
Many of you are aware that January usually brings the annual Ag Appreciation Banquet, but due to some scheduling changes, the 2019 Ag Banquet will be held in November this year rather than January. We’ll bring you more details closer to the event.
We’re continuing our membership drive for 2019 and in addition to retail businesses, we encourage non-profit groups, individuals, home-based businesses, ranches and other ag-based industries to also consider Chamber membership. With our newly revised benefits, we’ve tried to offer something for everyone. Contact a Chamber board member today or visit our website www.prchamberofcomm.com for an application and more information.
The Chamber is working in conjunction with the Powder River County Centennial Committee to plan an exciting weekend of fun activities for the 2019 4th of July celebration. Mark your calendars because events will take place from July 4th through July 7th and a tentative schedule can already be found on Facebook. We’re hoping for a BIG fireworks display to celebrate Powder River County and we are gratefully accepting donations to the fireworks fund. If you complete our donation slip, you will receive advertising credit for your contributions.
Wishing you a wonderful new year,
