Celebrate the season at the Broadus Fall Festival on Friday, October 13th in downtown Broadus.  The 2023 Broadus Fall Festival event is hosted by the Broadus Bumblebee Daycare & Powder River Chamber of Commerce & Ag.  Special thanks to our event sponsors: Broadus Shining Star Preschool, North Fork Precision Engineering & Broadus Bumblebee Daycare.  It’s going to be an afternoon full of fall family-fun, so check out some of the activities happening….

Business Fall Decorating Contest – Get your Broadus business in the spirit for the Fall Festival for a chance to win one of the amazing gift baskets donated by Range! All local businesses are encouraged to participate and judging will take place on the evening of October 13th.

Stop by the Courthouse Lawn between 3:30-6:30pm for these family activities: 

·         Gunny Sack Races & Kid’s Cornhole hosted by Montana Farmer’s Union

·         Bounce House & Caramel Apple Slices hosted by The Body Shop Physical Therapy

·         Fancy Loop Roping Contest for Youth & Adults hosted by Broadus Boot & Tack

·         Pet Costume Contest judging at 5pm hosted by Broadus Vet Clinic

Don’t miss the other downtown activities happening around the Courthouse Square including 

·         Donut Eating Competition hosted by Sagebrush Inn & Suites: Sign up for free at the Sagebrush gazebo starting at 3:30pm. Trust me, it’s going to be crumbtastic!

·         Annual Chili Cook Off: This fundraiser for Broadus Bumblebee Daycare has become an event favorite, so come taste the entries and pick your favorite! $25 entry fee must be paid and your crockpot of chili must be registered at the Montana Bar by 4pm. Cash prizes including $250 1st Place prize sponsored by Lazy JM Boutique, $100 2nd Place prize sponsored by LJ Pest Management and $50 3rd Place prize sponsored by the Montana Bar. 

·         Pumpkin Recipe Bakeoff: Gardner & Billing CPAs are sponsoring a baking competition for your best pumpkin recipe – drop off your homemade pumpkin treat at the Gardner & Billing office by 1pm for a chance to win a fall gift basket.  Free entry - please include your recipe.  

·         Sidewalk Chalk Art Competition & Bake Sale Fundraiser: Come support local youth artists! The JH & HS Art Club will be in front of the Powder River Historical Museum with sidewalk chalk and delicious goodies.  Enter for free and create your “walk of art” for prizes sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce.

·         Food & Drink Specials at the Big Sky Bar: Get into the spirit with clam chowder or a pumpkin spice cocktail available at the Big Sky Bar

·         Youth Coloring Contest hosted by Henry A Malley Memorial Library with prizes sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce.  

Later On….

·         Live Poker & Cornhole Tournament hosted by Broadus VFW Post 1595 - registration opens at 6:30 with play starting at 7pm.  Cash prizes!
