February 2022 Newsletter

We’re excited to welcome several new Chamber members in 2022, including Broadus Bumblebee Daycare!  Don’t miss their “Boots and Beauties” dinner and dance on March 19th!  This family-friendly fundraiser for the daycare will be hosted at the VFW Hall starting at 5:30pm.  Check the Broadus Bumblebee Facebook event page or the attached flyer for more details to help support this local non-profit organization.  

Also coming up this month, March 23rd is National Ag Day, which falls during National Agriculture Week.  Ag Day is about recognizing and celebrating the contribution of agriculture in our everyday lives. Special thanks to our area ag businesses that support our Chamber.  We wish you successful calving, lambing, shearing and bull sale seasons!  Thank you for sustaining our community and for the hard work that continues the agricultural legacy in our region.  

If you’re looking ahead to spring graduation, don’t forget about the many local scholarship opportunities available! Among our members, Range and TRECO both have applications currently open.  Thank you for supporting our local students!  

For anyone wanting free copies of new/current Range telephone books, the Chamber has previously held a supply at our Visitor Information Center.  However, due to the seasonal hours of this location, we have moved our supply of phone books to the Courthouse lobby.  

For our March community service meeting, the Chamber board is initiating a fun new cooperative project.  We’re partnering with the Powder River Trails Club to design and erect a free “community library box” where new and used books can be exchanged, borrowed or donated.  More information to come as we finalize details, but if you are interested in helping with the project or in donating books, please contact Megan Smith at powderriverchamber@gmail.com! We’re looking for other community service ideas for 2022 so if your business or organization is interested in partnering with us on a new or existing project, please reach out!
