Happy Thanksgiving from the Powder River Chamber!

First, a huge THANK YOU to everyone that attended, participated and helped with the Powder River Ag Expo!  What a wonderful celebration of agriculture in our community!

Now, we turn our focus to the Broadus Christmas Stroll on Friday, December 6th!  The theme is “Christmas in Who-ville” inspired by the Dr. Seuss classic “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.”  Due to lack of participation, we will forego the Parade of Lights this year, but the Christmas lighting contest, both business and residential, will remain. Businesses will be judged on the night of the stroll and residential judging occurs on December 15, so get your Grinch on, Broadus!

We’re organizing the Button Dash again this year as part of the stroll activities.  A limited number of themed lapel buttons are available at local retailers. Buttons will be sold for $5 until noon on December 6th. Each button has a unique number that may correspond to a prize at a local business. Not every button will be a winner, but you’ll need to dash to each location and match the secret number to claim a prize! The Dash takes place from 2-7pm on Friday, December 6th and all prizes must be claimed by, or by someone accompanied by, an adult

We’re also excited for a new addition to the stroll - the Ticket to Who-ville! As you’re shopping locally from now until the stroll, grab your ticket and get a unique punch at each participating retailer after making a qualifying purchase. Then, submit your ticket at the Christmas mailbox at Gardner & Billing CPAs on the night of the Stroll for a chance to win the grand prize valued at $200! Check with each business for qualifying purchase details and be sure to submit your ticket, even if not fully punched.  Don’t be a Grinch, punching your ticket is a cinch!
